The COMET single cell gel electrophoresis systems (SCGE) are specifically to detect and quantify DNA damage within individual cells after exposure to a geno-toxic insult. Two systems are available to accommodate either 20 or 40 standard microscope slides respectively. 

 An opaque ebony acrylic tank and lid provide excellent protection for techniques requiring light-sensitive stains or markers; cooling ports allow connection to a chiller for operation at 4C for faster run times and sharper resolution. Plus buffer recirculation inhibits pH and ion gradients from forming. The tank is a leak proof design with 99.99% Platinum electrodes.
